Class 11 Maths Exercise 5.2 Question Answers
By the time you will reach to attempt the questions for exercise 5.2 you will go through many complex number equations and laws. As you have already seen some of them in the explanation of 11th Mathematics ex 5.1. Here topic 5.2 explains the addition of two complex numbers. Whereas the second and third describes about the division and multiplication of two complex numbers, eventually it will go till the fifth one. Exercise 5.2 of 11th Maths explains about the polar form, which has equal importance to find argument and modulus of a complex number. Class 11 Maths Exercise 5.2 solutions are useful for all the students of CBSE as well as State board.

How to Solve Exercise 5.2 of 11th Maths
Class 11 NCERT Maths Exercise 5.2 contains only 8 questions. Out of which two questions are basic to find argument and modulus and rest to focus on polar form. This takes us to the fact that if you will spend more time memorizing the way to find argument and modulus you would be able to pay less attention to the actual problem that is polar form. Does this makes not paying attention at all a good strategy? All the questions are similar to solve considering the proper quadrant for argument.
Square Root of a Complex Number
Obviously, No! Reason being class 11th Mathematics NCERT have concept that needs to prove. Finding the square root of a complex number is also given in supplementary portion. After doing one question, we should have to learn the steps to speed up solving such questions. This means you need to learn how you can make the formulae. Here is what you can do to make the list of the most important formulae.
Find the ways of connecting this basic law to make others. In the chapter 5 of class 11 Maths there are only a few main laws and the rest of them are important variants from it. By learning to find the variant you will be able to reduce the workload.
Complex numbers in Argand plane
In theoretical representations, you will find the way to use the complex number. Like how you have done it in linear equations in two variables and quadratic equations in previous class. Though, the only difference that set it apart is the use of complex numbers such as 2 + 4i, -2 + 3 i, 0 + 1 i, 2 + 0 i, -5 – 2 i, and more includes a complex part.
This solves the points that you can further mention geometrically on x – the axis and y – the axis. In exercise 5.2, questions and its parts need to make such graphical representations.
