About the Mridang Textbook
Mridang is the NCERT English textbook for Class 1. It follows the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage. Mridang has replaced the older Marigold and Raindrops books for the 2026-27 CBSE session. At this stage, English is taught as a second language.
