Summary of the Story “The Tailor and his Friend”
This story is about a tailor named Kalu and his friend Appu, an elephant. Kalu used to stitch colorful pants and shirts for children. Whenever Appu came to Kalu’s shop Kalu always gave him something to eat. One day Kalu (tailor) pricked a needle in Appu’s (elephant) trunk. Appu went away in anger and pain. Appu wanted to teach the lesson to Kalu. After two days of the incident, Appu (elephant) filled water in his trunk and splashed it everywhere in Kalu’s (tailor) shop, and all the new clothes in Kalu’s shop became wet. Kalu accepted his mistake and learned the lesson, and Appu and Kalu both became friends again.
