Due to the pandemic, CBSE cancelled both class 10 and 12 board exams this year and decided to declare the result based on the alternative evaluation policy. While Class 10 students will be assessed on the basis of marks obtained in various examinations/examinations conducted during the academic year at the school level, Class 12 evaluation will consist of the performance marks of students in Classes 10 and 11.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had asked schools to complete class 12 preparation by July 25 and the result would be declared anytime now. The official website of CBSE Result is cbseresults.nic.in. There is no clarity yet on what would be the login credentials to download the results from these platforms, but the result notification should mention how to check the results online. The results can also be available through SMS, IVRS and UMANG App.
CBSE has announced the dates for these examinations amid growing protests over the cancellation of the examinations of private candidates. According to CBSE, private candidates cannot be assessed like regular students, as schools and boards do not have the “desired record”. Schools conduct unit tests, mid-term and pre-board exams for regular students and these are part of the alternative assessment scheme developed by the board. However, in case of private students, any record on the basis of which they can be evaluated without examination like regular students is not available, and the marks tabulation policy cannot be applied.
CBSE has launched a portal for students to make available duplicate copies of their academic documents online. The in-house Duplicate Academic Document System (DADS) has been launched as a “secure, quick and viable solution” for students to make available their mark sheets, certificates and other documents, a board statement said.

UMANG App For CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2021:
The Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) app can also host CBSE 10th, 12th results. Candidates can download the app from Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

When CBSE cancelled the board exams for 2021, it said that there will be optional exams for class 10 and class 12 students who are not happy with CBSE’s alternative assessment scheme and want to improve their results. Along with the CBSE Class 10, Class 12 results, the board will announce the optional exam details.
CBSE Class 12th Result & University Admission:
Universities will start the undergraduate admission process after the CBSE class 12 result. Delhi University has said that it will start UG admission registration from August 2. The UGC, in its 2025-26 guidelines, has asked higher educational institutions (HEIs) to complete the process by the end of September. Classes for the new batch will start in October.
Meanwhile, latest reports claim that the board has confirmed that it will announce the class 10th result 2021 by July 31, 2021. However, the exact date and time are not yet known. Students must stay tuned to this page to get all the updates on CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2021.
