JEE Main Eligible Criteria:
Those candidates who want to take admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, State Engineering colleges, and participating institutions including UPSEE.

    • Admission to B.E./ B. Tech / B. Planning / B. Arch courses in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, State Engineering colleges then candidates must have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th examination or be in the top 20 percentile in 12th Class.
    • The candidates who belong to SC/ST category Caste should have secured at least 65% marks in the class 12th Examination Board.
    • Architecture course candidates should be passed a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry & also 50% marks for the Qualifying entrance exam.
    • B. Planning course candidates should be passed a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics & also 50% marks for the Qualifying entrance exam.

Exam Pattern of JEE Main

JEE Main Exam Pattern for B.E./B. Tech candidates

In JEE Main Exam B.E./B. Tech papers have a total of 90 questions in each section having a total of 25 in each including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

    1. Candidates have to attempt only 75 Questions. Each subject having 20 Mcqs & 10 Numerical questions out of which the candidates should only attempt 5 out of 10 Numerical questions. Numerical questions don’t have any negative marking.
    2. For B.E./B. Tech paper will be conducted for 300 marks & B.Arch & B.Planning paper will be conducted for 400 marks.
    3. Exam will be based on Computer-based test.
    4. Exam duration is of 3 hours.
    5. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer & 1 mark get deducted if any questions get wrong.
    6. JEE main paper of B.E./B. Tech is of 300 MARKS.

JEE Main Exam Pattern for B. Arch candidates

In JEE Main Exam B. Arch paper has a total of 82 questions in each section:

    1. Total no of questions in the B. Arch paper is 82 out of which 20 questions are from Mathematics & 10 Numerical questions out of which the candidates should only attempt 5 out of 10 Numerical questions. Numerical questions don’t have any negative marking, in Aptitude 50 questions & in drawing test 2 questions are there.
    2. For B. Arch paper will be conducted for 400 marks.
    3. In B. Arch paper their sections are there:
      i). Mathematics
      ii). Aptitude Test
      iii). Drawing Test
    4. Exam will be based on Computer-based test.
    5. Exam duration is of 3 hours.
    6. For MCQs 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer & 1 mark get deducted if any questions gets wrong.
    7. For Numerical Questions 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer & 1 mark get deducted if any questions get wrong.
    8. For the Drawing Test, two questions are evaluated out of 100 marks.

JEE Main Exam Pattern for B. Planning candidates

In JEE Main Exam B. Arch paper has a total of 105 questions in each section:

    1. Total no of questions in the B. Arch paper is 105 out of which 20 questions are from Mathematics & 10 Numerical questions out of which the candidates should only attempt 5 out of 10 Numerical questions. Numerical questions don’t have any negative marking, in Aptitude 50 questions & in Planning based test MCQs 50 questions are there.
    2. For B. Planning paper will be conducted for 400 marks.
    3. In B. Planning paper their sections are there:
      i). Mathematics
      ii). Aptitude Test
      iii). Planning Based Objective type MCQs
    4. Exam will be based on Computer-based test.
    5. Exam duration is of 3 hours.
    6. For MCQs 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer & 1 mark get deducted if any questions get wrong.
    7. For Numerical Questions 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer & there will be no negative marking if the answer gets wrong.

How to Apply for JEE Main Examination?

JEE Main Examination starts of February, March, April & May every year conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Those candidates who want to fill the form can visit the official website of JEE Main https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/”

    • 1. Candidates have to apply for online registration by using their E-Mail ID & Mobile No.
    • 2. The candidates have to fill online application form by submitting their Personal details, Present Address, Permanent Address, choose Password & Security Pin.
    • 3. After filling the application form the candidates have to submit Images by uploading them to their Computer or Laptop.
    • 1. Photograph requirements:
      Good quality image not blurred one.
      File size must be a minimum of 10kb & a maximum of 200kb.
      Background of the image must be white.
    • 2. Signature requirements:
      File size must be a minimum of 40kb & a maximum of 30kb.
      Signature with dark blue color or black only.
    • 3. Result Uploading Image
      File size must be a minimum of 50kb & a maximum of 500kb.
    • 4. Category Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS etc)
      File size must be a minimum of 50kb & a maximum of 300kb.
    • 5. PwD Certificate
      File size must be a minimum of 50kb & a maximum of 500kb.

Important Instructions & Documents require at Examination hall:
NTA has released the Information Bulletin on its official website. Here, we have mentioned what are the documents that candidates have to carry while going to the examination hall.

    1. JEE Main Admit Card:
      Candidates are advised to take the Admit card for certification of the candidate at the time of entering the exam hall. If the candidate hasn’t shown their admit card proof then he/she doesn’t allow for the JEE Main Exam.
    2. Passport Size Photo:
      Candidates should must carry one passport-size photo which is included at the time of JEE Main Application Form. The passport size photo should be pasted in the attendance sheet at the center during the Exam hall.
    3. Photo ID approved by Government of India:
      Any Photo ID card must be carried at the time of the examination that has been approved by Government of India. The Acceptable IDs are Aadhaar Card(with the photograph), Pan Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Aadhaar Enrollment No, Ration Card.
    4. PwD Certificate:
      Candidates must bring a PwD certificate if candidates claiming relaxation under the PwD category. Certificate must be issued by the Government of India.
    5. Candidates must carry below things at the examination center:
      Admit Card downloaded from NTA Website. A simple transparent ballpoint pen.  One Passport size photo pasted at the time of attendance. Personal transparent water bottle. Personal Hand sanitizer (50ml).
    6. For B.Arch the candidates must bring their Pencils. Eraser, own Geometry box, Colour pencils or Crayons. The candidates are not allowed to use watercolor on the Drawing sheet.
    7. Candidates should not carry any Electronic devices Mobile phones & any other banned items. If candidates lost any devices then the examination center is not responsible for this. And there will be no such facility.
