Hardware and Software

Dear children! Computer is an electronic machine. It works very fastly and accurately.
A computer system consists of two parts. These parts are: Hardware and Software.
Hardware
All the physical devices of a computer that we can touch and see are called hardware. Hardware devices perform the commands given by the software applications.
For example: Monitor, CPU, Keyboard, mouse etc. All these parts are known as the hardware parts of the computer.

Types of CPU

There are different parts of CPU. These parts are:

    1. Mother Board
    2. Ram
    3. Microprocessor
    4. Hard Disk Drive
    5. SMPS

Keyboard
Keyboard has five main rows to type ‘properly’. There is a special way to type using keyboard. You should put your fingers in the middle row, on the keyboard. Each finger of your hand also controls the keys that are within its reach— above, below and the middle row as shown in the following diagram of a keyboard.

Software

Software is a set of instructions that tells a computer how to work. The software is also called program. A software does the processing work. It means that it receives input from the user, analyzes them and turns into output: CorelDraw, WordPad, Pain and Media player.
