The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Result 2021 will be declared on or before July 31, 2021. With a very short window available for the board, CBSE has directed the schools to upload the marks obtained by the students in class 11 by June 30. As per the deadline shared by CBSE, schools are required to verify the details of students by June 28 and upload Class 11 Theory Marks by June 30. The portal for uploading class 12 marks will be opened later.

The move is being seen by many schools as a measure to ensure no manipulation of CBSE Class 11 results by the schools. “The board has given very less time to the school to upload the class 11 marks. Also, the schools will have to submit the marks directly on the portal. This will only ensure that schools are not able to make multiple changes in class 11 marks to accommodate class 12 result,” explains a teacher.
However, many schools have raised concerns over the short time given by the board. With the lockdown still in place, schools have pointed out that it is not easy to upload marks in such a limited window.
“We are busy completing the tabulation of CBSE class 10 results, which also has a deadline. The biggest challenge is to collect and upload the class 11 result from all the teachers. With the lockdown, many teachers have also travelled to their native place and there are some gaps as records are maintained in the school and not kept personally with the teachers!” Makes the other teacher.
Many are expecting an extension in the tough time frame set by the board. The board, however, is keen to act quickly on the deadline.
“We did not complete exams for all subjects in class 11 last year and promoted some students on the basis of their results in the exams they had written because of the lockdown. We have been trying to find a solution to the concern raised since then and it will require time,” shares another teacher.
It may be pointed out that the board has already calculated and submitted the average marks for the class 10 result of the student. Schools have also been asked to clear any discrepancies in the result of a registered CBSE Class 10 student or collect records in case the student is transferred from another board.
Students will be marked for their internal assessment in the ratio of 30:30:40. 30 percent will be based on the average of the best three of the class 10 results (of theory paper) and another 30 percent will be based on the student’s performance in that subject in the final or annual examinations of class 11.
Schools also need to devise a rationale for calculation of Class 12 internal marks which form 40% weightage in the final result calculation of the theory component of results of students. The school may choose the marks obtained by the students in the Pre-Board, the average marks in the Pre-Board and other examinations or any argument appropriate by the Results Committee so constituted.
Lakhs of CBSE Class 12 students are waiting for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 results to be declared, CBSE affiliated schools across the country will submit marks for class 12 practical exam today (June 28). It is to be noted that the deadline for submission of marks of CBSE Class 12 practical exam ends 28.06.2021.
Earlier, schools were directed by CBSE to conduct practical examination and internal assessment in online mode due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country. CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj had sent a letter outlining the process of conducting practical exams online and said that external examiners would conduct oral examination of students in online mode.
The final tabulation for Class 12 is to be submitted by July 15. CBSE Class 12 Result 2021 will be announced by 31st July on the official website cbseresults.nic.in.
