As per the latest update, it is now known that CBSE will not release the Class 12 Result Criteria 2021 today. After the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 on June 1, 2021, CBSE had constituted a 13-member committee on June 4, 2021 to decide the marking scheme within 10 days.
The panel was asked to submit the report by June 14, 2021 regarding the evaluation of students of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. However, it seems that the board exam aspirants will have to keep patience for some more time for the declaration of evaluation criteria of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021.
According to a report, the committee members had sought and were given an extension of two days. The final report will be submitted to the public and the Supreme Court by June 16, 2021. Further, it has been informed that the Supreme Court will hear the CBSE matter on June 17.
The ministry official, on condition of anonymity, said, “The broad consensus was regarding the marks obtained in class 10 board, class 11 (annual) examination and class 12 pre-board. There were differences of opinion regarding the exact weights assigned to each component. That final decision will be taken by CBSE.”
Following this decision to cancel the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CBSE was asked by the Supreme Court to prepare an alternative assessment plan in two weeks.
No grade will be awarded to any student as per the evaluation policy. Students will be awarded marks as they will help them get admission in Indian colleges and abroad. The marks of practical and internal assessment will play an important role. When time permits, the student will be given an opportunity to appear in the compartment examination of a subject of his/her choice. CBSE will give more than a month to the heads and principals of institutions to submit their evaluation and marks of students by the end of July 2021.
After which, the board will take 10 to 15 days to compile the CBSE Class 12 Result 2021 and mark-sheet.
CBSE will give enough time to the teachers to mark the students as more than 14000 schools will be involved in this evaluation process. In addition, the help-desk and helpline numbers will be open for students and parents to address their doubts on CBSE Class 12 Result 2021.
As you know, the panel has requested for two more days to submit the evaluation criteria. The report will be made live on the official website CBSE.gov.in on June 16.
As we wait for the CBSE Class 12 evaluation criteria, there are reports and recommendations to include class 10 or class 11 or even look at the historical data done by CBSE for class 10 results. Several academicians have raised the issue of using Class 10 marks as a standardization parameter, insisting that it is the only ‘standardised’ result available with the board.
Students and parents may note that as per the Supreme Court, CBSE is required to submit the evaluation criteria by June 17. The panel committee of the board was to share the criteria till date. However, it has been postponed due to the loss of family members of some of the panellists’ to COVID-19. The panel has sought additional time and will now submit the criteria by June 16.
