As of now, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already declared the results of class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2021. Many students have expressed dissatisfaction over the calculation of results based on the evaluation criteria set by the board.
As per the previous announcement, CBSE on Thursday said that the board will issue the dispute policy on August 6.
While issuing a circular in this regard, CBSE said, – The board is preparing a policy for submission of representations. The policy will be uploaded on the Board’s website by the evening of 6th August, 2021.
When The Proposed Policy Will Be Accepted:
According to CBSE, all representations regarding disputes over results will be accepted only if they are made in accordance with the proposed policy.
Schools which are approaching CBSE in any form are requested to make representations following the instructions given therein after the policy is uploaded on the website. Any representation sent prior to this notification will have to be resubmitted as per notified policy within the given time limit.
The board said that a policy will be issued for submission of representations in respect of disputes in calculation of class 10, class 12 results. In June, CBSE had told the Supreme Court that it would constitute a committee to deal with disputes over class 10th, 12th results.
CBSE, on the other hand, requested the schools approaching the Board in this regard to make representations after the policy is uploaded on the site.
Any representation sent prior to this notification will have to be re-submitted in accordance with the notified policy within the given time limit. CBSE is committed to resolve all the representations within the time frame specified in the policy.
The CBSE improvement exams for classes 10 and Class 12 will be conducted from August 25 to September 15, with the result declaration date being September 30, the board informed the Supreme Court on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Board said that it will conduct the improvement exam on August 16 and declare the result around September 20.
In response, the boards have filed separate affidavits making firm commitments about the schedule. Since there was some ambiguity in the affidavit filed by CBSE, on the directions, learned counsel appearing for CBSE has submitted a schedule for conducting examinations for class 12 and class 10 correspondent/correction/ private/compartment students.
On August 10, CBSE said its portal would open for registration of candidates – for corrections, for class 10 and 12 private candidates – and issued a circular declaring the date sheet for the exam. The exam will start from August 25 and the last paper will be on September 15. It will declare the result on 30th September.
Registration Started For ICSE candidates:
For ICSE candidates, the registration started from 4th August and it will declare the detailed exam schedule by 6th August.
Improvement exams will start on 16th August and the results of improvement exams will be declared around 20th September.
The petitioners had argued that the students who are affected by the result committee’s decision to reduce their marks are not being informed about the extent of deduction. In response, the counsel for CBSE submitted that the Board would issue instructions to all the schools registered under it to notify the internal assessment marks, highest average in the last three years and marks specified by the results committee on a case-to-case basis.
To this, the court said – It will be the responsibility of the concerned school(s) where the students are studying. In our opinion, this arrangement will redress the grievances of the petitioners.
