The Central Board of Secondary Education before examination they issued some frequently asked question which are related to different schools which are based on the queries received from the schools and their queries of stakeholders, which should keep in mind and follow them in responsive way. There are many questions which are asked by different Institutions and students which are related to TERM-1 examination and their Evaluations.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • 1. How many OMRS are evaluated by the coordinator?
      ANSWER: 20% of the total OMRS are to be re-checked by the coordinators.
    • 2. Whether Coordinator has to Sign on all the OMRS or only which have been re-evaluated by him/her?
      ANSWER: Signatures are done to Coordinator has to sign only those OMRS which have been re-evaluated by him/her.
    • 3. Is it mandatory to have the Coordinator(s) centre school or coordinator could be from the school(s) whose students are appearing in Boards examination from the centre school?
      ANSWER: For the fairness of the evaluation, both the possibilities are true and correct.
    • 4. Can Centre Superintendent appoint more than the suggested number of evaluators for completing evaluation work timely?
      ANSWER: Yes. More evaluators than as suggested by the CBSE of could be engaged for evaluation by the Centre Superintendent.
    • 5. Can PTI, Art Teacher, Dance Teacher etc. could be engaged in evaluation?
      ANSWER: Yes.
    • 6. Can Class-XII teachers be engaged for evaluation of Class-X and vice a versa?
      ANSWER: Yes.
    • 7. Can Assistant Superintendent be engaged in evaluation?
      ANSWER: Yes.
    • 8. Is it mandatory to have the evaluator(s) from the centre school or evaluator(s) could be from the school(s) whose students are appearing in Boards examination from the centre school?

For the fairness of the evaluation

ANSWER: For the fairness of the evaluation, following may be noted for compliance please:

    1. Centre school should have evaluators from all schools (whose students are appearing in examination from centre school) including their own school for evaluation of OMRs.
    2. During evaluation, OMRs should be interchanged between the evaluators of two schools. Meaning thereby, OMRS of a school be checked by evaluators of other schools and vice-versa.
    3. In case, school is purely a self-centre, Centre Superintendent should invite few evaluators from neighbouring school(s), for the fairness of the evaluation.
    4. These are new instructions from CBSE and must be complied with from immediate effect.

Question 9:
Which colour ink should be used by the different functionaries?
ANSWER:
Based on suggestions received by the CBSE, it has been decided that the pen and colour used in Term- I examination will be as follows w.e.f. 26.11.2021:
a)Students = Black/Blue Ball Point pen
b)Invigilator = Red Ball Point pen
c)Evaluator = Red Ball Point pen
d)Coordinator = Red Ball Point pen
e)Observer = Red Ball Point pen
f)All other officials = Red Ball Point pen
[Use and possession of black/blue pen other than students is not allowed at all in examination centres].

Question 10:
Whether Observers have to sign on all the OMRs or on a few OMRs?
ANSWER:
Observer has to sign all the OMRs as a proof of complying instruction issued by the CBSE that all the boxes on OMR have been filled in by the candidates and if not, the circle next to the box has been darkened by the candidates.

Question 11:
Can Evaluators Count total correct answer while doing evaluation and upload this number or link?
ANSWER:
Evaluation will be done as per the instructions provided in the questions papers.

Question 12:
Should question paper be provided to Evaluators and coordinators for evaluation and re-evaluation respectively?
ANSWER:
Yes. Certainly. Without Question Papers, Evaluators cannot decide that how evaluation should be done?

Question 13:
There are 60 questions in a Question Papers from Question number 1 to Question number 60 questions, only 50 are to be attempt by the candidates. How evolution should be done by the evaluators and how correct numbers of questions will be determined?
ANSWER:
A) In this case, evaluated has to count correct numbers of responses from Questions Number 1 to Questions number 50. The same number is to be uploaded on the link.
B) However, responses given from Question number 51 to 60 will not be taken into consideration for evaluation.

Question 14:
There are two section in a Question Paper as Section -A and Section-B. Both sections are having 30 questions each. From each section 20 questions are to be attempted.
In Section-A, one student has attended only 20 questions and in Section-B, student has attempt 24 questions. What is the correct method of evaluation?
ANSWER:
In Section-A, student has responded 18 correct answers and 2 wrong answers.
In Section-B, as 24 questions have been responded by the student, following is the correct method of evaluation: –
a) Do not check last 4 questions.
b) In first 20 responses, count correct responses. Say 15 are correct only.
c) Then correct responses are 18 + 15 = 33

Question 15:
Is teacher of parents School need to be involved in invigilation and evaluation?
ANSWER:
Yes, At least one teacher of all schools whose Centre has been fixed in Central School are required to be present in evaluation for evaluation purpose. They will also ensure fairness in evaluation.

Question 16:
Will there any instruction be given on Answer Key about number of questions are to be responded by a student.
ANSWER:
All such instructions are given only in question papers. Hence, question paper must be provided for evaluation.

Question 17:
Does it need to call the subject teacher to interpret the paper and clarify work out the internal choice for evaluators before evaluation could begin?
ANSWER:
No, with the help instruction given in Question Paper, all evaluators can discuss before the start of evaluation.
