CBSE Issued A Notice Regarding The Date Sheet

The Central Board of Secondary Education has informed that in the session 2025-26 two examinations of class X and XII will be conducted as per the following details. Term-1 Examination which will be held in the month of November-December, 2021. It will be an objective type test (MCQs) and the duration of this test will be 90 minutes.

Term-1 Examination in Novermber December

1. The examination of Term-2 will be conducted in the month of March-April, 2022. It will be a subjective or objective type test as per the situation of CORONA-19 in the country.
2. According to this, examinations of minor subjects will be conducted first. After this the examination of the main subjects will be conducted.
3. The date sheet of the examinations will be issued on 18.10.2021.
4. All the exams will be conducted in offline mode. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is offering 114 subjects in class XII and 75 subjects in class X.

Subjects for CBSE Examination 2021

Means, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has to give the exam of total 189 subjects.

If examination of all subjects is conducted, then the entire duration of examinations will be minimum 40-45 days.
Therefore, in order to avoid the learning loss of the students, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided that the subjects offered by CBSE will be divided into two parts- i.e., “MAJOR SUBJECTS” and “MINOR SUBJECTS”.
Major subjects are offered by almost all affiliated schools; So, the examination of these subjects will be conducted by fixing the date sheet as before.
With regard to minor subject Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will group the schools offering these subjects and hence more than one paper will be conducted in a day by CBSE in the schools.
The date sheet for both class X and class XII examinations will be released by CBSE on 18.10.2021.

Main points for Exams

Duration of examinations is of 90 minutes.

Keeping in view the winter session, the examination will start from 11.30 am instead of 10.30 am.
The reading time for all categories of candidates will be 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes.
In these examinations also all the facilities and relaxations provided earlier will continue (Policy for Child with Special Needs – CWSN, Candidates).
After conducting the Term-1 exam, the result will be declared in the form of marks obtained.
No student shall be placed in the pass, compartment and required repeat category after Term-1 examination.
The final result of class X and XII will be declared after Term-2 examination.
The project/practical/internal assessment will be completed in the schools before the end of the TERM-I examination. The marks allotted will be 50% of the total marks allotted and mentioned in the course. The marks need to be uploaded on the link latest by the last date of conduct of TERM-1 examinations.
The schools are being informed about the entire scheme separately so that they can make necessary preparations.
