With the examinations being cancelled in the wake of rising CORONA and OMICRN cases across the country, the CBSE Board and the Union Ministry of Education are all set to conduct the first phase (Term-1) of 10th and 12th semesters. Board exam in which happened November-December, 2021 and the second phase (Term-2) is scheduled to be held in March-April 2022.
Term-2 The duration of the exam will be of two hours and the questions will be subject based. CBSE Academic Director Emanuel said that the sample question papers and mark scheme of class 10 and class 12 examinations have been published on the website and schools approved by the CBSE board have also been alerted.
The third wave is under control:
The second session of the board this year is unlikely to be cancelled, as health experts have mentioned earlier that the third wave is under control. However, students who decide to skip the exam will be classified on the basis of their first semester exam results.
The marks obtained in the first stage will be considered as final and results will be prepared on the basis of that. But if such conditions are not met and the second session is conducted successfully, the final result will be determined on the basis of 50-50% marks in both these posts. CBSE‘s controller of examinations S. Bhardwaj said that if the situation worsens then there will be no second session.
The vaccination camp in the school premises will help the children to feel at home. It is important to monitor the students for a few days after vaccination as their health is our top priority. Both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health are paying special attention to immunization of students in the age group of (15-18 years) so that they can appear for board examinations safely.
The new method of school evaluation will help us to go beyond the traditional concept of evaluation. Schools should adapt to the situation and ensure that students are well prepared for pre-board and board examinations. P. Rathore, (principal of a school) says – Exam preparation and the situation of CORONA-19 have made children accustomed to hybrid learning method.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon organize a show called “PARIKSHA-PEA-CHARCHA” for which more students, teachers and parents are being encouraged to register. Stating that the health of the children is the first priority, the Education Ministry said that the CBSE board examinations will be conducted strictly following all the corona and omicron protocols.
