The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the class 10, 12th term 1 results by January 15. The class 10, 12 score cards will be available for download on the websites- cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in. Remember, to get a passing certificate from the board, students need to secure at least 33 per cent marks. Apart from the Board’s websites – Digi-Locker, UMANG App and also the results can be available through SMS.

The Evaluation Process

Important pointers on evaluation process:

    1. This time students will not get marksheet, final marksheet will be issued after TERM-2 exam.
    2. CBSE TERM-2 exam will be conducted in April and May depending on the CORONA-19 situations. The paper will be based on both MCQs and long based questions.
    3. CBSE TERM-2 Date sheet will be released after the declaration of TERM-1 Result. The board exam schedule will be released by February.
    4. CBSE Term 1 Class 10, 12 results will have a minimum 50 percent weightage in the final result, and no student will fail in TERM-1.
    5. The marks for TERM-1 will also include marks of internal assessment of various subjects to be awarded by the schools to the students.
    6. No average marks will be awarded to absentees this time, however, the final score card will be decided by CBSE.

    • For the first time, this year the board has given the exam in OMR sheet for objective type questions. Each question was of equal marks and was conducted for a total of 40 marks. The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the class 10th and 12th results soon, with the 10th and 12th class examinations over.
    • Board Announcing the two-term exam format for CBSE Class 10th, 12th students, CBSE said that the board will not declare the TERM-1, results as pass or fail or repeat required. The final CBSE result will be published after the TERM-2 exam is over.

    • Q. 1: What colour pen should students and teachers use?
      Answer: Students will use black or blue ballpoint pen and all other writers like observers will use red ball point pen only.
    • Q. 2: Is it mandatory to have evaluators from KENDRYA VIDYALAYAS (KV)or can evaluators be from schools whose students are appearing in board exams?
      Answer: During the evaluation, the OMR should be exchanged between the evaluators of the two schools. Schools at the centre will have evaluators from all schools including their own schools for evaluation of OMR. Purely self-centre schools should invite evaluators from neighbouring schools to ensure fair evaluation.
    • Q. 3: If any paper is divided into sections, each having 30 questions and 20 questions and any student has attempted 20 questions in the first section and 24 questions in the next section. How will they be assessed?
      Answer: Lets, understand with example. For example, in the first section students have attempted 18 questions correctly and 2 are wrong and in the second section students have attempted 24 questions and only 15 are correct then the evaluator will consider 18 correct questions from the first section and will not check the additional 4 questions from the second section and only 15 correct answers will be considered. It clearly refers = 18+15=33.
    • Q. 4: If students attempt additional questions, for example out of 60 only 50 questions have to be attempted and students have attempted all 60 questions. How will the teacher evaluate?
      Answer: Teachers will consider only question number 1 to 50 (or number of questions to be asked) and remaining 51 to 60 will not be considered.
