Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the practical examination of TERM-2 from March 2nd today and these examinations may continue till 10 days before the theory examination. CBSE TERM-2 Theory paper will start from 26th April. The board has asked the schools to follow the CORONA-19 protocol during these examinations to ensure the safety of the students.
The school may consider dividing the group or batch of students into sub-groups of 10 students each. The first group of 10 students may be involved in lab work while the second one is doing pen and paper work and vice versa, – Board stated.
For the regular students of class 10, internal examination will be conducted by the schools. External examiners will be appointed to assess the practical examinations of Class 12 regular candidates.
The uploading of marks will be completed by the last date of the respective class. Extension of dates will not be considered by the Board, – the notification said. However, private students of class 12 who failed last year will have to appear in the practical examination.
There will be no separate practical test for private students. These students will be allotted marks on pro-rata basis on the basis of marks obtained by them in theory examination.

The students will have to strictly follow the CORONA-19 rules like wearing of face mask, gloves, maintaining social distance etc during the exam. They are allowed to bring their own hand sanitizer.
The board today shared some information regarding class 10 and class 12 term 1 result. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) spokesperson Rama Sharma while responding to a query regarding the result date said that as of now there is no update on the Term 1 results. As lakhs of CBSE students prepare for the Term 2 board exams scheduled for April, no announcement has been made about the results of the Term 1 exams, which were taken in November-December last year.
The board is working to announce the TERM-1 result in March, but there are ideas to declare TERM-1 result jointly with TERM-2. TERM-1 results will be announced soon, – the department said. Earlier, officials had said that the result is likely to be declared in February, but no information has been shared about the delay.
Meanwhile, the board has shared a notification regarding TERM-2 examinations, which states that the papers will start from April 26 and the detailed date sheet will be released soon on cbse.nic.in. Practical exams are from 2nd March.
TERM-1 marksheet will mention marks obtained by students only and final result cum marksheet after TERM-2 will contain details like pass and fail status. In Term-II examination, students will answer both objective and subjective type of questions.
