Circular saying CBSE has decided to reduce marks of Term 1 exam, weightage is FAKE

The Central Board of Secondary Education has informed that a circular mentioning CBSE reducing the weightage of Term-1 examinations is fake. CBSE spokesperson R, Sharma said, the circular regarding the weightage of Term-1 and Term-2 examinations is fake.

The weightage of Term-1 and 2 examinations will be around 30 and 70 per cent

According to the fake notice, CBSE has decided to reduce the weightage of Term-1 examinations keeping in mind the difficulties being faced by the students and affiliated schools due to the prevailing situation. The CBSE circular said, – The weightage of Term-1 and term-2 examinations will be around 30 and 70 per cent, respectively.

Exam Date & Time

CBSE will conduct Term 2 exam from April 26. Class 10 exam will end on May 24 and class 12 exam will end on June 15.

Combination Bag of Question Paper:
CBSE Term 2 Board Exam papers will be a mix-bag of questions of case-based, open-ended, situation-based, short answer and long answer type with a duration of two hours. It is expected that the Board will be inclined to term 2 with regard to weightage.

MCQs with Explanation

CBSE Term 2 Board Exam will be on Fifty percent of Class 10 and Class 12 less syllabus. The paper will have both objective and subjective type questions. While 1st CBSE exam question paper had Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) consisting of case-based MCQs and MCQs based on reasoning.

CBSE will release the final marks along with the marks

CBSE Board Class 10 and 12 students must note that the marks released are the final marks. Present marks are for theory exam only. After the Term 2 exam is over, CBSE will release the final marks along with the practical and internal assessment marks. Based on the final score, a student will get pass, fail or compartment as decided by the board.

CBSE extends dispute redressal mechanism registration deadline till April 20

The Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE has extended the dispute redressal mechanism registration deadline for Term 1 exam till Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Schools can apply for dispute redressal mechanism for both class 10 and 12 within the due date. To get the official notice and other details, schools can visit the website of CBSE- cbse.nic.in.
CBSE Disputes Redressal Mechanism, Important Details:

    • 1) In case any school misses to upload its request then schools have to upload the complete details of disputes on the above link.
    • 2) Schools which have contacted CBSE through email or visiting Headquarters or Regional Places are also requested to upload their dispute on the portal within the given date.
    • 3) Any request sent to schools or through any email id or any other platform will not be entertained by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
    • 4) If any student wishes to raise any dispute regarding performance on Term 1, he may inform his concerned school in writing.
    • 5) The request will be processed by the school. If the dispute is not resolved at the school level, the school will inform the concerned student about the result in writing.
    • 6) If CBSE has to resolve the dispute, a report comprising all the disputes received by the schools may be uploaded in one go on submission of the school request for resolution in the link available on the notice.
