HP Board of School Examination (HPBOSE) has declared the 12th result today. Students can check their result on the official website hpbose.org. As per reports, around 1.3 lakh students appeared for the exam out of which 92.77 per cent have cleared it.
A total of 3,679 candidates have scored above 90 per cent this year. In 2019 and 2020, the number of candidates in the 90-100 marks range was 1372 and 2288 respectively.
The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to cancel the class 12 examinations for the academic year 2020-2021. The decision was taken due to the extension of corona curfew in the state. It was said that the students would be rewarded as per the formula prepared by CBSE. Further if some of the students are not satisfied with the results so obtained, they will be allowed to appear in a special examination to be conducted if conditions are favourable for conducting the examination.
Registered students can check their result by visiting the official website of hpbose.org. Click on the tab for class 12, 2021 results. Enter the required credentials to log in and get the result. Download and take a printout of the result for further reference. Candidates must keep their admit card or hall ticket handy as it will contain the roll number and other necessary details which need to be filled to check the result.
Last year, the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) declared the class 12 results in June. A total of 86,663 students appeared in the exam in 2020. Last year the pass percentage was 76.07 percent.
Meanwhile, 11,017 students failed to clear the exam that year. Prakash Kumar of Science stream secured the highest 99.40 per cent marks. In 2019, the state had recorded only 62.01 per cent pass percentage. In 2020, girls have outperformed boys by securing 80 percent pass percentage. Out of 43,410 male candidates, only 72.40 per cent were able to clear the exam.
To qualify the exam, students need to score at least 33 % marks. Those who miss by one or two marks will be given a chance to appear in the improvement test. Rest will have to appear for compartment paper. Students who are not satisfied with their score will also get a chance to appear in the special examination. The dates for these exams have not been revealed yet.
Once the mark sheet is out, students will have to check their marks as well as other details such as their name, their school, parent’s name to ensure that the spelling is correct. In case of any error in the report card, they have to report it to the authorities at the earliest.
