Indira Gandhi National Open University has extended the last date for fresh admission in Online Distance Education (ODL) for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses till October 11.
Students can apply through the online portal @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The registration process for the certification program is over.
According to IGNOU notification read, Last date of fresh admissions for July 2021 session for ODL and online programs (all undergraduate and postgraduate) except certificate programs has been extended by the university till October 11. Interested candidates can apply for ODL programs through the online admission portal.

Scanned photograph of applicant, signature, copy of age proof, class 10, 12-mark sheet with educational qualification, copy of experience certificate (if any), category certificate, if mentioned, of BPL certificate Copy, if mentioned.
On the registration portal, enter the registration number and password, if already registered or register using the asked credentials like phone number and email address.
IGNOU Launches AICTE-Approved MBA Program:
School of Management Studies (SOMS), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute said that the flagship MBA program of the university has been completely restructured to meet the academic needs of the industry.
It offers five different specializations:
Candidates Having Bachelor’s Degree With Minimum Marks:
MBA program is on offer from July 2021 admission cycle. Candidates having Bachelor’s degree with at least 50 percentile marks (45 percentile for reserved category) can apply without any entrance test.
The program has been carefully designed by renowned academicians and industry experts. The university said that it has contemporary curriculum and latest course material.
Learners must complete 27–28 courses and 116–117 credits spread over four semesters. The program is offered across India and selected foreign countries, IGNOU said. The minimum duration of the program is 2 years and the maximum duration is 4 years.
MBA In Banking & Finance, By IGNOU:
IGNOU is also offering MBA program in Banking and Finance (MBF) in association with Indian Institute of Banking Finance (IIBF).
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) with at least 50% marks and have passed CAIIB examination of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai. To take admission in the course.
They also need to have at least two years of work experience in the banking or financial services sector. The last date was 30 September.
SOMS also offers Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) programs in Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management and Operations Management. The last date for admission to these courses was 23 September.
