According to sources, on the first day of the placement drive, about 60 offers made to students at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi are above Rs 1 crore. He said that more than 350 national and international organizations offering more than 750 job profiles in multiple sectors have so far registered to hire the students.
By the end of the first day of placement season on December 1, IIT Delhi students have received over 400 placement offers including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), which is the highest in the last 5 years. Top recruiters on campus included Bain, Boston Consulting Group, Goldman Sachs, Graviton, Intel, Microsoft, NK Securities and Texas Instruments, among others.
IIT Madras Placements: 176 offers on Day 1, Session 1; Highest ever:
A total of 176 offers have been made by 34 companies to the students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras during the first session of the first day, the institute said. IIT Madras said that this is the highest number of offers received by IIT Madras students in session 1.1.

IIT Madras said that a total of 1,498 students have registered for placements in the 2025-26 academic year.
Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi 2025-26 Placement Drive was held today, 1st December. On the first day of IIT BHU placement drive, US-based company Uber offered placements to five students with a package of Rs. 2.05 crores.
IIT BHU said in its statement, – On the first day of placement at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, 5 students received offers from US-based firm Uber. One of the students was offered a huge package of 2.05 crores.
IIT Roorkee Placement 2021: International offers to 13 students on day one:
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has conducted the placement exercise in 2025-26 on 1st December. A total of 35 companies participated on the first day of placements. On the first day of the placement drive, 437 offers including PPOs were made to the students.
As per the placement highlights shared by IIT Roorkee, a student got an international salary of 2.15 crores; Three students got domestic salary of 1.30 crore to 1.8 crore, 11 students got package of more than 1 crore and 13 students were given international offers.

Over 200 offers were made on the first day of the final placements of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Guwahati) for the academic session 2025-26. According to IIT Guwahati, one international offer worth Rs 2 crore and several domestic offers worth over Rs 1.1 crore were received at the end of the placement round. The top companies that participated in the placement round include Microsoft, Apple, Google, Texas Instrument, Bajaj, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs. Jobs were offered in sectors like IT/Software Development Engineer, Quant, Core Engineer, Algorithm Trader, Hardware, Analyst, Machine Learning, Business Analyst, Product Designer, Graphic Designer etc.
