Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar is organizing an online camp for school children of class 8 to Class 12 standard besides teachers, parents and teachers to encourage curiosity and curiosity. Is. IIT Gandhinagar’s ‘Camp Inspire’ will be held from June 3 to 5, (Friday to Sunday) 2022. Interested candidates can register themselves at curiositylab.iitgn.ac.in.
The aim of the session is to introduce students to the stories of people who have embarked on new and exciting careers and became successful. Hardly anyone has heard from a survivor through that story.
Those who inspire someone today were also once inspired by others, IIT Gandhinagar said in a statement. The goal is to enable students to learn that inspiration can come from anywhere, be it a book, a person or a movement, and that such inspirational stories can be found around.
Most of the students, parents and teachers are unaware of today’s possibilities for the arts and humanities, STEM (science, technology, engineering, medicine) sectors and entrepreneurs. Curiosity Labs introduces these possibilities to parents, teachers and students.
Through Camp Inspire, IIT Gandhinagar brings together some incredible individuals who have taken a unique path against many adversities and chosen to follow their passion. Curiosity Labs conducts scientific research to understand how to arouse students’ curiosity while learning.
The institute says that the Curiosity Camp is a curious lab outreach initiative to foster interest and make learning fun.
Curiosity Camp aims to offer innovative approaches to learning while creating awareness about multiple career paths and is supported by institutions like IITs.
Professor J.A. Manjula, Curiosity Lab, IIT Gandhinagar said, – Curiosity Camp provides an opportunity to students, teachers and parents to witness the stories of inspiring people who follow their passion and encourage positive change in society.
The camp will conclude with a filmmaking workshop and competition. K. Raj’s workshop titled “Stories Through Visuals: The Art of Filmmaking” will discuss the basics of storytelling and how to use available resources to tell compelling audio-visual stories.
After the workshop, participants will submit their films to Camp Inspire 2022 for a chance to win exciting prizes. Three films of school students – eligible for a cash prize.
