Mumbai University will start the online admission process for postgraduate programs from today and will close it on August 26 at 5 PM. On the main home page, students can click on the “VIEW TUTORIAL” link to read the step-by-step application guidelines.
Classes for all PG courses will start from September 15, 2021. The link for online application will be available from August 10, 2021.
Mumbai University started its online application process for all UG courses on 5th August and will be closed on 14th August 2021 till 1 PM.
All departments will start online verification of documents from August 26 to August 20 at 11 am. The first provisional merit list will be out on August 30 till 6 pm. The university will receive the complaints of the students by 6 pm on August 31. The final merit list will be released on September 2 by 6 pm.
Application Process:
To apply, students need to visit the website, click on the PG admission link and submit all the required details. The online portal for PG admissions will open for programs in Science and Commerce and Management, Technology, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary Studies.
The notification states that the first merit list will be released on August 17, 2021. Students can visit the official website to get the form.
Two days after the Maharashtra Board declared the HSC results or class 12 results, the University of Mumbai has officially announced its schedule for UG admissions for the new academic session in all MU colleges.
All Online Admissions From 5th to 14th August:
All online admission forms and pre-admission nominations will be sold from 5th August to 14th August 2021 till 1 PM. Students will have to submit the online admission form along with the pre-admission enrolment form from 6th to 14th August. It is important to note that in-house admission and minority quota admission will also be completed during the mentioned program.
Online verification of documents along with declaration form or undertaking and online payment of fees will start from August 18 and will continue till 3 PM on August 25.
Second Merit List:
The second merit list will be released on 25 August 2021 at 7 PM followed by online verification and online fee payment from 26 August to 30 August at 3 PM. Finally, the third merit list will be out on August 30, 2021 and online document verification and fee payment will be available from September 1 to September 4, 2021.
As per the instructions mentioned in the notification, the students are required to submit the Declaration Form or Undertaking in any one of the colleges for the confirmation of admission. Thereafter the colleges will have to provide provisional admission to these students and confirm the same after submitting the hard copy of mark sheet and other certificates.
COVID-19 Role:
There will be no offline online submission system due to the fear of COVID-19 and colleges and colleges have been asked to create an online submission system to avoid physical interaction.
In places like Sindhudurg and Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, where having an online portal for admissions may be difficult, colleges are allowed an offline admission system with strict KOVID-19 protocols.
Students may note that the link for the online application pre-admission online enrolment form was made available from August 4, 2021 at mum.digitaluniversity.ac, where students can also obtain a helpline number in case of further queries.
