The pursuing students are demanding to postpone the UG exam. The reason is not only CORONA-19. There are many reasons behind, students assumed. NEET – Undergraduate Exam 2021, is scheduled in September 2021, along with many other entrance examinations. NEET UG-2021, examination is scheduled to be conducted on 12th September 2021, in off-line mode across the country.
Since most of the students are writing multiple exams simultaneously with NEET and if the date of NEET is close to the dates of these examination, then it will increase the exam stress and it can not be possible to attend others examination in a day.
Over 1,450 people have signed a petition on change to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) 2021. In support of the students, the National Students Union of India, President N. Kundan has urged the National Testing Agency to postpone the medical entrance examination. A letter to the D. Petitioner Akash Sharma said that in order to avoid this conflict and to take out time for the preparation of NEET-UG 2021, the students are demanding that the examination be postponed till October. The petition, which started with a target of 1,515 signatures, reached 500 at 9 am and has 1,451 signatures at the time of publication.
The date of medical admission is clashing with CBSE’s private examinations, state and national level UG entrance examinations. NEET 2021 is to be held on 12th September 2021. Similar to several social media campaigns, the petitioner said – the reason for postponing NEET 2021 is that it is scheduled around CBSE Class 12 reforms and other entrance examinations including examination of private candidates.
Many students have reported that the ICAR exam on September 13 is exactly a day after NEET 2021 and students will not be able to move from one centre to another in a day. The date of medical admission is clashing with CBSE exams (private), state and national level UG entrance exams. Along with this, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Maths’s paper is also to be held on 13th September 2021. To avoid this conflict and to take out time to prepare for NEET-UG 2021, students are demanding that the exam be postponed till October.
In a letter to the Union Education Minister and the NTA representing the candidates of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2021, the President of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) has called for rescheduling the examination and taking 7 to 14 days between the examinations.
The letter further names other exams scheduled around September 12, which are subjective in nature and “CAN BREAK STUFDENT’S CONCENTRATION”. The mentioned exams are – Physics MP Board, Biology MP Board, Maths CBSE Board, ICAR, Physics CBSE, Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” (COMEDK), Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) and Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).
According to a survey conducted by a newspaper on NEET 2021, 88% wanted NEET UG 2021 to be postponed till October. Due to various reasons, it is to be noted that only 13% voted for no change in NEET 2021 exam dates. The sample size for this poll was around 50,050 voters.
These reports state that the National Testing Agency and the Ministry of Education Department have said that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) – 2021 will be conducted as per schedule.
While some clarity is still awaited on the matter, some media reports suggest that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – 2021 cannot be postponed.
