The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 10 and Class 12 Term 2 examination 2022 from Tuesday, April 26. Students will appear for Class 10 exam in Painting, Rai, Gurung, Sherpa, Tamang and Thai paper, while Class 12 exam in Entrepreneurship and Beauty and Wellness paper.

Exam Timings, Centres and Students

The examinations will start from 10:30 am. This year more than 35 lakh students will appear for class 10th, 12th examination, 21 lakh (21,16,208) students will appear in class 10 examination, while 14 lakh (14,54,371) students will appear for class 12 examination at 6,721 centres.

CORONA-19 guidelines

The CORONA-19 guidelines need to be followed:

    • 1) Students have to carry their Term 2 Hall Ticket to the exam centre.
    • 2) Students need to carry face mask, hand sanitizer to the exam centre.
    • 3) And must follow the mandatory CORONA-19 social distancing guidelines.
    • 4) As per the CORONA-19 & OMICRON guidelines, only 18 students are allowed to sit in a room in three rows and six students in a row during the Term-2 board exam.
    • 5) CBSE said that if a student tests positive for COVID-19, such candidate will be allowed to take the exam at a different examination centre.

CBSE is paying Extra for each exam

For this purpose, CBSE is paying Rs.5,000 to each examination centre for purchase of infrared thermometer and Rs.5 per candidate per day for school sanitisation and to ensure cleanliness of masks, sanitizers, soaps. Rules regarding examination

    2. If the student fails to appear in both the Term-1 and Term-2 examinations conducted by CBSE, he will not be allowed to appear in the compartment examination this year and will have to appear for the examination next year – the board clarified.
    3. Last year, CBSE had allowed candidates who obtain or fail to score minimum passing marks in three or more subjects to appear in compartment examination in the “REQUIRED REPETITION” category.
