Concepts of Exercise 4.1 in Class 11 Maths
The principle of mathematical induction is one of the simplest topics in 11th class mathematics subject. Chapter 4 from NCERT solutions of class 11 Maths is about developing a spatial sense of reasoning and finding the logic. The basic objective of the chapter 4 is to develop the sense among the students to find the logical answer. So, that they can use the same logic to define their results for the questions. Most of the questions in CBSE Exercise 4.1 have less about finding new concepts and more about solving the equations.
Process of solving questions in Exercise 4.1 Class 11 Maths
Finding the logical ways of explaining the concepts, and verifying if the statement given in the book is correct or not. In every question, we have to show every step of the solutions to achieve the answers on the basic of assumption. To demonstrate it let’s see the example it is given in the introduction 4.1 which says, (a) Socrates is a man. (b) All men are mortal, therefore, (c) Socrates is mortal.
About the questions of Exercise 4.1 for 11th Maths
So, if one looks into the above-given example, it is clear that logically Socrates is mortal because the above-given information is correct and that makes the last information correct. If any of them would have been incorrect that would change the entire statement. There are total of 24 questions and in all we have to prove the correctness of statement.
Taking a summary of chapter 4 into account, we can say that shows us the way of developing the conscious mind during proofs. Here we have to develop a sense of conjecture by working with different cases and observing incidences. Now you will get to know about the induction means generalization of the fact from the particular case.
Important Questions of Class 11 Maths Exercise 4.1
The question number 19 to 24 are considered as important one in Exercise 4.1 and commonly asked in exams. Understanding the core of the Maths exercise 4.1 of 11th NCERT is important which makes the example and exercise questions more important. That is why we suggest you read the summary to get the information in a short time.
However, the drawback of doing it, that it is time consuming as compared to other chapters. As the chapter contains 24 questions and it has only exercise 4.1. Most of the questions ask you to prove them with the above-given theories.
