When we are hungry, we feel very restless until we eat something. We get a strange feeling in stomach which gives the signal that we are hungry. When we are hungry we feel like eating something.

We need food because it:

Why is milk called a complete food?
Milk is an important part of our diet because it gives us energy to do work. It helps in body-building and is also protective food item. It is therefore called a complete food.

The uncovered food that is exposed to dust and flies will get infected by germs. If we consume such food, we may fall ill and suffer from food poisoning, diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, jaundice etc.

Why should not wash fruits and vegetables after cutting them?
If we wash fruits and vegetables after cutting them then, many useful nutrients may get washed away with water and get lost from our diet. So we should wash them before peeling only.

It forms a very important constituent of our body cells, blood, digestive juices etc. It also helps to remove our body waste in the form of sweat and urine. Roughage or fibre helps to clear our stomach regularly. It is found in the fruits and vegetables we eat.
