5th English Chapter 9 Around the world – Summary

This is an adventurous story of Mr. Phileas Fogg who bet with friends that he could travel the world in 80 days. He started his extra ordinary in evening from San Francisco to New York in a Train. The Distance from Pacific Ocean to Atlantic Ocean is 786 miles. The train was running really fast through mountain and tunnel and bridges.

Once the train stopped as the herd of Buffalos passing the tracks and it took them 3 hours to cross the tracks. Soon they were travelling in Rocky Mountain which is 7524 high. Passenger had their breakfast and kept on journey the train suddenly halted in the middle of nowhere as the suspension bridge is broken and driver was on doubt if it could handle the train weight but he decided to pass the bridge in really high speed. Once the train passed the bridge, The bridge crashed and fell down all the passengers were frightened but saved.

Soon after that a group of native Indians with rifles on hands raid the running train it was very dangerous. So, Passpartout the French passenger tried to stop the train otherwise they might loose. He successfully separated the coaches from the engine and slowed the train down. after hearing all the rifle shots from native Indians. The Soldiers (Army) came towards the train. Seeing the soldiers coming the native jumped out of the train and ran away. This is how the train journey was so adventurous.
