Up in the Sky

We can see the sun, the moon and the stars in the sky.

The Sun

The sun shines during the day. It is far away from us. It looks like a big round hot ball of fire. It gives us heat and light. It is also the source of energy. It brings us a new day in the morning. When it rises. Every morning, the sun rises in the east and every evening, the sun sets in the west. The sun helps living things to live. It helps them to grow.

The Moon

We can see the moon at night. The moon is smaller than the sun. It is also round in shape. The Moon has no light of its own. It shines because the sun’s light falls on it. The Moon has no air and water. So the moon has no life.
