A good house has the following features:
1. It has thick walls and high roofs to keep it cool in the summer.
2. It has windows and doors to let in fresh air and sunlight.
3. Sunlight keeps the house dry and free from germs.
4. It has a lawn in front of it. The lawn provides a place for the family to sit there.
5. It has a proper drainage system to carry out waste water. The drain has a covering to check the breeding of mosquitoes and flies.
6. It has wire-nettings on windows and doors to keep insects away.
7. It has plants and trees around it. They keep the air clean.
8. It has fencing all around it to check the entry of animals or unwanted persons.

Care of the House

There are many ways to keep a house clean.
1. Sweeping and mopping of the floors of a house is very important. It should be done every day.
2. Wash basins, toilets and bathrooms must be washed and cleaned every day.
3. Kitchen should also be cleaned daily.
4. Flush should be used after using the toilets.
5. Garbage must be stored in a covered dustbin. It should be thrown into a public dustbin or a proper dumping place.
6. Drains of the kitchen and the bathroom must be covered to stop mosquito breeding.
7. Water should not be left collected near your house. If there are ditches, they should be covered.
8. Grow plants near your house to make it beautiful.
