Important Terms about Class 8 Maths Chapter 7

Find the smallest number by which 243 must be multiplied to obtain a perfect cube?

Prime factors of 243 = 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3
Here 3 does not appear in 3’s group.
Therefore, 243 must be multiplied by 3 to make it a perfect cube.

Find the smallest number by 81 must be divided to obtain a perfect cube?

Prime factors of 81 = 3 x 3 x 3 x 3.
Here one factor 3 is not grouped in triplets.
Therefore 81 must be divided by 3 to make it a perfect cube.

वह सबसे छोटी संख्या ज्ञात कीजिए जिससे 128 को भाग देने पर भागफल एक पूर्ण घन प्राप्त हो जाए?

128 के अभाज्य गुणनखंड = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2
यहाँ, गुणनखंड में संख्या 2 तीन-तीन के समूहों में नहीं हैं।
अतः, 128 को 2 से भाग देने पर पूर्ण घन प्राप्त हो जाएगा।

परीक्षित प्लास्टिसिन का एक घनाभ बनाता है, जिसकी भुजाएँ 5 cm, 2 cm और 5 cm हैं। एक घन बनाने के लिए ऐसे कितने घनाभों की आवश्यकता होगी?

एक घनाभ का आयतन = 5 x 2 x 5
यहाँ, गुणनखंड में संख्या 2 और 5 तीन-तीन के समूहों में नहीं हैं।
इसलिए, आयतन 5 x 2 x 5 को 2 x 2 x 5 = 20 से गुणा करने पर पूर्ण घन प्राप्त हो जाएगा।
अतः, उसे 20 घनाभों की आवश्यकता होगी।

In Chapter 7 Cube and Cube Roots, we will learn how to find Cube or Cube roots of a number using various tricks. The prominent method to find cube roots of a number is prime factorization method and making the group of 3 at a time. There are another popular methods like adding consecutive odd number to get cube of a number. On the basis of cube and cube roots, some applications such as to find the smallest perfect cube less than or more than the given number. During the calculation of cube and cube roots, we should keep the following things in mind like Cube of any odd number is odd, A perfect cube does not end with two zeros, If square of a number ends with 5, then its cube ends with 25, etc.



How to find Cube Roots

किसी भी संख्या का का घनमूल सामान्यतः अभाज्य गुणनखंड विधि द्वारा आसानी से ज्ञात किया जा सकता है। यह विधि सबसे आसान तथा कारगर है। वर्ग और वर्ग मूल निकलना, जैसा कि पाठ ६ में था और घन और घनमूल निकलना जैसा कि इस पाठ में दिया गया है, दोनों की उत्तरोत्तर कक्षाओं के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं।
